RULES AND REGULATIONS (R&Rs)
Janamanjung Fellowship Ride (JMFR) is owned by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and organize by TNB Janamanjung Sdn. Bhd. (TNBJ) a wholly-owned subsidiary of TNB. TNB and TNBJ collectively known as organizer.
A participant, being a person who has entered to take part in the event, is deemed to have given written permission to the organizer to collect, analyze and collate the personal information relating to that rider. As the organizer may in their sole discretion deem fit, including without any limitation information for the Organizer’s programme, planning, data-processing, statistical or risk-analysis, research or any other purpose in furtherance of the functions.
By completing the official registration form through online registration, the participant signals his / her agreement to abide by these R&Rs.
By submitting the registration form to participate in the event, the person named in the online form (“Participant”) confirms his/her agreement and acceptance to abide by these rules and regulations.
The participant agrees to provide true, accurate, current and complete information captured in the registration form.
The Organizer may contact the participant from time to time by email/phone. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organizer shall be deemed to be received by the rider concerned.
After registration, there will be no refund of any registration fees to any participant who does not in due course take part in the event, for any reason whatsoever. Registration is also strictly non-transferrable.
The Event Owner and the Event Organizer reserve the right to modify any of these rules and regulations from time to time as it deems fit. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, the Event Organizer shall be the sole authority to interpret them and, in so doing, may take into account the interests of all affected participant. Participant will be notified of any amendments to these rules and regulations on the Official Website.
SAFETY AND MEDICAL
The Event Owner and Event Organizer reserve the right to cancel or change any details of the event or any component of it at any time without prior notice to participants. Every reasonable effort will be made to inform participants of changes prior to the date of the event.
Participants must not:
· Ride without a cycling helmet
· Ride dangerously or negligently
· Wear any mobile music device while riding
· Use hand-held cameras or telephones while riding or
· Ride with a TT AERO helmet
For the safety of Participants, the
following bikes are STRICTLY NOT
· Bikes with Disc Wheels / Rim Covers
· Bikes with Aero or Extension Bars
· Bikes with Fixed Wheels with No Brakes
Bikes with Child Seat
· Fixie Bikes
· Specialist Time Trial Bikes
· Motorized Bikes
· Unicycles and
Bikes with Drop Handle Bars and/or Disc Brakes are allowed.
Tandem bicycles may be used by visually handicapped riders ONLY.
Participants should seek clearance from the Organizer on a case-by-case basis.
Participants who attend the event with unapproved bicycles will be prohibited from participating in the event. If the prohibition is overlooked by the event officials, neither the event organizer nor the event owner shall be held liable for any untoward incident.
All bicycles for must be properly fitted with two brakes.
All Participants must follow the designated routes and abide by the instructions given by the marshal and traffic management throughout JMFR.
All participants are covered under a basic complimentary Personal Accident insurance by Kurnia Insurance. Coverage shall commence from the official start of the ride till the end of the ride. Each participant will be provided with a policy limit of the following:
. RM 10,000 for accidental death
. RM 10,000 for permanent disability
. RM 500 for medical expenses
The above is subject to Kurnia Insurance standard policy terms and conditions and exceptions.
All payouts will be based on assessments and approvals of duly completed claim forms together with supporting documents within fourteen (14) days of the accident occurrence.
If there is an emergency, medical personnel reserve the right:
. To remove any Participants from the cycling routes if they decide that he/she is unable to continue his/her ride; and
· To send any casualties to the nearest recommended hospital.
The Participant’s age will be deemed to be his/her age on the day he/she participates in JMFR.
The distance and route for JMFR stated on the Official Website is tentative and will be finalized after obtaining regulatory approvals.
The distance and duration for each of the Event categories are approximate. The Event Organizer reserves the right to change the distance should circumstances demand it.
If you are a Participant below 21 years of age, you are deemed to have obtained consent from your parent or legal guardian to participate in the Event.
Once Participants complete their registration for the Event, they are strictly not allowed to:
· Transfer or sell their riding kit
· Change the t-shirt size
Participants who successfully complete the ride will be awarded a medal upon the presentation of their bicycle plate no. to the respective officials on Event day.
Riders are confirmed only after the Event Organizer receives payment and after the confirmation slip is sent to the email address provided during registration.
All fees are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia.
There will be no extension of any registration promotion.
ADDITIONAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
You may NOT ride under someone else’s name or number under any circumstances. If you do so, organizer will not liable for any damages occurs during the event.
The Event will take place regardless of bad weather and will only be cancelled, re-routed or stopped in extreme circumstances for safety reasons. The final decision on this will be rest with the Organizer.
